Art Ambassadors for a Colorful World recently traveled to one of the most colorful countries in the world! From the moment we arrived we were deluged by a profusion of vivid color and culture. The beautiful people in the traditional clothing made of the exquisite handwoven fabrics, flowers of every color decorating the freshly painted tombs for Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), gigantic kites, colonial buildings of every hue, and vibrant markets filled with every kind of fruit and vegetable and handwoven textiles. It was at the same time a feast for the eyes and, for the painters and photographers in our group, a dilemma with a painting everywhere you turned.
